Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher who is a committed student of knowledge with at least an upper intermediate or advanced level of Islamic studies.

The Assistant Teacher will work closely with one or more scholars/teachers to support the academic process, enhance course materials, and ensure the effective delivery of the lessons.

• Part time: 20 hours a week
• Location: Istanbul or Remote

• Course Structuring: Assist scholars in structuring course descriptions, lesson plans, and defining learning objectives.
• Lesson Preparation: Assist in preparing lessons according to the course level, ensuring they meet the set objectives.
• Learning Materials: Gather supplementary educational materials for the teacher to enhance the learning experience.
• Presentation Creation: Construct presentation slides for each lesson tailored to the specific objectives of the lesson.
• Quiz Suggestions: Suggest and present quiz ideas for approval by the teacher, ensuring they meet academic standards.

• Upper intermediate or advanced Islamic Studies background.
• A minimum of one year of similar work experience is recommended.
• Proficiency in Google Docs, PowerPoint, or Keynote to prepare the course slides.
• Experience with online research to gather knowledgeable resources.
• Familiarity with English is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

• Intermediate level of Islamic studies or higher.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to adapt to various teaching styles and requirements.
• Keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of educational materials.
• Enthusiasm for education and a passion for continuous learning.
