Overview

Istanbul Operations Manager

We are presently seeking an experienced and skilled Operations Manager to manage the new and dynamic SeekersGuidance Istanbul Centre. The Centre hosts a variety of weekly Islamic classes and monthly programs for the local community, in addition to special events that are held throughout the year.

Key Job Parameters:
  • Full-time (40 hours a week)
  • Location: SeekersGuidance Istanbul Centre, Istanbul, Türkiye
Key Responsibilities:

    Operational Management:

  • Oversee all operational processes, in particular the scheduling and execution of classes and programs, both weekly and monthly.
  • Maintain the physical upkeep of the centre, ensuring a welcoming and conducive learning environment, as per Organization policies and frameworks.
  • Team Leadership:

  • Supervise a small team of administrative staff, teachers, and support personnel.
  • Hire and train any needed employees, ensuring they are aligned with the Centre’s policies and objectives.
  • Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the Media team to ensure all activities are captured and promoted, adhering to SeekersGuidance’s media processes and quality standards.
  • Work with the Marketing team to promote classes and programs effectively, enhancing community engagement.
  • Play a leading role in local Center outreach to the local community.
  • Be the main liaison point / coordinator with other SeekersGuidance Global departments, including Academy, Tech, and Development, for Centre-related activities.
  • Academic Support:

  • Assist in planning and organizing weekly classes, monthly programs, conferences, and yearly retreats.
    Ensure that the teachers record high-quality lessons and deliver them in a timely manner.
  • Financial Oversight:

  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, and planning of all Centre operations.
  • Strategic Planning:

  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives to enhance efficiency, quality, and student satisfaction.
Required Skills:
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of work experience as an Operations Manager or a similar role
  • Experience in educational or religious community organizations is highly preferred
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is a must
  • Adequate knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting
  • Highly organized with the capacity to lead with effective decision-making
  • Ability to work to a tight schedule
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Professional and proactive work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Reporting Line:
  • Reports to the Global Head of Operations for SeekersGuidance, as well as corollary reporting locally in Istanbul.
